Josh Hazlewood to return to RCB for playoffs: Reports

In a big boost, star pacer Josh Hazlewood is likely to join RCB for the playoffs following a successful rehabilitation in Brisbane for a shoulder niggle. Hazlewood, who flew back to Australia after the IPL was suspended for a week due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, will join RCB for the knockout stage, according to ESPNcricinfo.
Hazlewood’s presence will strengthen RCB's bowling attack as they hope to clinch their maiden IPL title. He has had a powerful IPL 2025, having claimed 18 wickets at 17.27 from 10 matches. However, a date for his return hasn’t been confirmed yet. RCB, who are in the playoffs and perched second in the points table, have two matches remaining in the league phase against SRH (23rd May) and LSG (27th May). Meanwhile, Hazlewood is also expected to join the Australian side for the WTC final against South Africa at Lord’s in June, having missed out on a spot in 2023 against India due to Achilles and side injuries.
