Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman ruled out of Pakistan T20Is with injury

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has suffered a significant setback ahead of the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. The veteran bowler sustained a hand injury while playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) recently.
During DC’s match against Punjab, Mustafizur was struck on his left hand while attempting a caught-and-bowled off Josh Inglis. The injury has ruled him out of the T20I series, dealing a blow to Bangladesh’s pace attack.
"Mustafizur suffered a clip fracture on his left thumb while playing his last match of the Indian Premier League yesterday," Bangladesh physio Delowar Hossain said as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
"This injury requires a period of rest and rehabilitation. As per our current assessment, he will be unavailable for selection for the next two to three weeks. We will conduct a follow-up evaluation after two weeks to monitor his recovery progress."
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named Khaled Ahmed as his replacement for the T20I series. Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in first of the three-match series on May 28.
