England pacer Gus Atkinson in doubt for 1st Test against India

England pacer Gus Atkinson, as per reports, remains in doubt for the first Test match against India beginning June 20 at Leeds due to a hamstring injury. India and England will play a five-match Test series against each other over the next two months.
“Gus Atkinson is a doubt for the first Test against India later this month because of a right hamstring strain - adding to England’s injury concerns among their seamers,” a report in BBC read.
Atkinson picked up the injury during the one-off Test against Zimbabwe last month, which also put him on the sidelines from the recently concluded three-match ODI series against West Indies. Atkinson has claimed three five-wicket hauls in his 12 Tests and has been a major figure in England's bowling department. His injury, meanwhile, poses a serious threat to England’s bowling unit, which is already reeling from the injuries to Mark Wood and Olly Stone.
