Litton Das returns as Bangladesh name squad for Sri Lanka Tests

Bangladesh have announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. The series will mark the start of Bangladesh’s campaign in the 2025–2027 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Litton Das marks his return to the side after remaining absent in the previous Test assignment due to injury.

Pacer Ebadot Hossain also returns to the side for the first time since 2023. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the 16-member squad. The squad also features Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Jaker Ali and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who also happens to be the vice-captain. The two-match series will begin on 17 June with the first Test in Galle. The second Test will be played from June 25 in Colombo.
