WI head coach Sammy fined after code of conduct breach

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy has been fined 15% of his match fee for questioning third umpire Adrian Holdstock crucial DRS decisions, sparking controversy. Sammy was handed a fine for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct on Day 2 of the first Test.
“Sammy was found to have violated Article 2.7 of the Code, which pertains to “public criticism of, or inappropriate comment in relation to an incident occurring in an International Match or any Player, Player Support Personnel, Match Official or team participating in any International Match,” The ICC release stated.
In addition, one demerit point has also been added to Sammy's disciplinary record, his first offence in a 24-month period.
At the post-day-2 press conference, an impassioned Sammy called for consistency.
“I just had a chat with the match referee. Just trying to find some sort of understanding as to what the process is. We only hope for consistency,” Sammy had said.
