CSK eying Sanju Samson trade from Rajasthan Royals: Reports

There have been huge speculations around Sanju Samson potentially moving to Chennai Super Kings ahead of the next edition of the IPL. According to reports that have ignited on social media, there is the possibility of batter Sanju Samson switching allegiances from his current franchise (Rajasthan Royals) to Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming IPL season. According to a Cricbuzz report, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have shown their interest in the wicket-keeper batter.
"We are definitely looking at Sanju. He is an Indian batter, who is a keeper and an opener. So if he is available, we will certainly have a look at the option of having him in our fold. Who we will trade him with, we have not taken that call because the matter has not gone that far. But yes, in principle, we are interested," a CSK official was quoted as saying in the report.
In the last edition of the IPL, Rajasthan Royals finished second from the bottom in the points table with four wins in 14 games. Samson also remained out of action in a few games due to injury. He was seen in action in nine games for the Rajasthan Royals, belting 285 runs. Meanwhile, in his absence, Riyan Parag led the side. On the other hand, CSK finished at the bottom of the points table with four wins in 14 games. Notably, CSK will need to trade some of their players in order to bring in Samson.
