West Indies have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Pakistan, with all-rounder Romario Shepherd making his return to the format. Shepherd was last seen in action in ODIs last year in December against Bangladesh, and since then he has gone on to miss the ODI assignments against England and Ireland.

Shai Hope will be leading the side that includes a few young faces. Pacer Alzarri Joseph, who had been rested from the preceding T20I series, will continue to remain on the sidelines.

“Pakistan presents a different test and challenge as we continue our push for automatic qualification for the 2027 World Cup. The upcoming matches against teams like Pakistan, who are ranked higher, provide crucial opportunities to earn valuable ranking points to improve our standing ahead of the World Cup,” head coach Daren Sammy said.

The first ODI will be held on August 8 in Trinidad, followed by the second and third on August 10 and 12 respectively at the same venue.

West Indies squad: Shai Hope (c), Jewel Andrew, Jediah Blades, Keacy Carty, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Justin Greaves, Amir Jangoo, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Sherfane Rutherford, Jayden Seales, Romario Shepherd
