England to tour Sri Lanka for white-ball assignment ahead of T20 World Cup

England are set to travel to Sri Lanka for a white-ball series ahead of the T20I World Cup 2026; the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the development on Wednesday. The tour will involve three ODIs and as many T20Is, serving as a massive platform for their preparation for the world event.

The tour will commence with three ODIs, scheduled on January 22, January 24, and January 27. Later, both teams will lock horns in a three-match T20I series set to begin on January 30 with the first game. The second and third matches will be played on February 1 and February 3, respectively. Meanwhile, the venues for the matches have not been decided yet.

3rd ODI - (27 January, 2026)

1st T20I - (30 January, 2026)
