India begin Asia Cup preparations with intense training session in Dubai

With the highly anticipated Asia Cup just around the corner, India have kicked off their preparations in full swing, holding an intensive practice session at the ICC Academy in Dubai. Their preparation marks the beginning of their road to the Asia showpiece event. The training session saw a high level of energy, with players actively participating in extended net sessions.
Notably, players like Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, Jitesh Sharma, Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma were among the standout figures in the nets, spending significant time fine-tuning their batting skills. The Asia Cup will begin on September 9, and India will open their tournament against UAE on September 10 before taking on arch-rivals Pakistan on September 14.
India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. Suryakumar Yadav will captain India in the Asia Cup, leading the side for the first time in a multi-nation event.
