"Whenever we play for India": Shivam Dube on his devastating spell

Team India's Asia Cup 2025 campaign got off to a flying start, thanks in large part to a terrific bowling performance from all-rounder Shivam Dube, who came out with a fiery bowling display. He took three crucial wickets, tearing through the UAE's batting lineup and helping India fold the UAE for a paltry total of just 57 runs. Speaking after the match, Dube credited his recent work with India's bowling coach Morne Morkel for the improvements in his bowling.
"When I came into the England series, he told me a couple of things. He told me to bowl outside the off-stump and also told me about slower delivery. I have been working on that for a long time. He also told me about my bowling run-up. And I feel because of those tips, my bowling has been incredible. My pace is also going well, and I am getting good confidence.
Dube also stated that every game is important for the team regardless of the team they are playing against.
“Whenever we play for India, we don’t consider any match as a warm-up match. It’s a pride to play for the country. Every match is an important match for us," Dube said.
