AFG vs BAN, 2nd ODI: Afghanistan eye series win after dominant comeback

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are preparing to face off in the second ODI of their ongoing three-match series, scheduled to be played on Saturday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Afghanistan currently hold a 1-0 lead, having convincingly won the first ODI, and will look to seal the series with another victory. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be desperate to bounce back and level the series, keeping their hopes alive heading into the final match.
Afghanistan's victory in the opening ODI marked a massive turnaround in their performance following a disappointing 3-0 whitewash in the preceding T20I series. Heading into the first ODI, Afghanistan were under pressure to prove their mettle, and they delivered in style, thrashing Bangladesh by five wickets. Key players such as Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rahmat Shah and Azmatullah Omarzai played pivotal roles, contributing to Afghanistan's dominant display.
On the other hand, Bangladesh's loss in the first ODI was a wake-up call. After dominating the T20Is, their batting faltered in the first ODI, and their bowlers struggled to control Afghanistan players. With the series on the line, Bangladesh will need their players to step up and help the side level the series.
