AUS vs PAK 3rd Test day 2: Rain brings early stumps as both teams remain balanced

On day two of the ongoing third and final Test match between Australia and Pakistan, rain played a crucial role in halting the proceedings, forcing the umpires to call for early stumps following the the poor weather on Thursday at Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia are trailing by 197 runs after finishing the day with 116/2. Australia lost their two wickets on day two in the form of outgoing David Warner (34) and Usman Khawaja (47) after resuming their innings with their overnight score of 6 for 0. David Warner was dismissed for 34 in his final Test match of his career. Warner received a standing ovation walking back to the dressing room after losing his wicket.
On day two at stumps, Australia were 116/2 with Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith unbeaten on (23) and (6) respectively. Around 44 overs of the play were lost due to bad light on second day.
Earlier, on day one (Wednesday), Pakistan decided to bat after winning the toss. They posted a satisfactory total of 313 with Mohammad Rizwan and Aamer Jamal playing vital knocks of (88) and (82) to lead the teams' fightback and keep them away from huge trouble. Pakistan have already lost two games in the series as they are trying to revive their fortune in this match. Pakistan are without Shaheen Afridi and Imam-ul-Haq.
