Rashid Khan misses out as Afghanistan name squad for Sri Lanka Test

Afghanistan have announced their squad for the upcoming One-Off Test match against Sri Lanka, slated to be played from February 2nd at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Afghanistanās star Rashid Khan is set to miss the only Test due to back surgery that he had last year in November.
Rashid Khan was last seen in action at the ODI World Cup 2023 in India in October-November, since then he has missed crucial BBL and Afghanistanās tour of India for the three-match T20I series.
Afghanistan, meanwhile have named four uncapped players in their squad in the form of Noor Ali Zadran, Zia-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Ishaq and Naveed Zadran.
Noor, who is related to Ibrahim Zadran, possesses huge amount of experience, having played 51 ODIs and 23 T20Is since his debut in 2009. However, he has yet to make his Test debut.
