The schedule for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar-Trophy between Australia and India has been announced as it is scheduled to begin from 22nd November, 2024. The iconic Perth will be hosting the opening game between both teams.

Traditionally, ‘The Gabba’ used to host the opening Test, marking the start of Test summer. But, Perth will be the venue for both teams to kickstart the long series.

The five-match series will involve a day-night Test in Adelaide from December 6. The day-night Test will be followed by the opener. The third Test match will be held in Brisbane ( Dec 14-18), followed by fourth and fifth in Melbourne ( Dec 26-30) and Sydney (Jan 3-7) respectively.

Australia have been unable to beat India in home series since 2014-15. For the first time in last 32 years, Border-Gavaskar-Trophy has been extended to five matches. Australia have been fiercely competitive in the longest-format of the game with their zingy victories in their recent assignments.

Schedule:

First Test: November 22-26, Perth

Second Test: December 6-10, Adelaide (d/n)

Third Test: December 14-18, Brisbane

Fourth Test: December 26-30, Melbourne
