Slamming their gutsy knocks, Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Travis Head (89*) and Abhishek Sharma (75*) bludgeoned SRH to a stunningly beautiful victory, demolishing Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets on Wednesday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Taking an aggressive approach, Head and Abhishek continued with their class, carrying SRH to a commanding victory over LSG, and chasing down 165 in 9.4 overs.

Travis Head fired his half-century off 16 deliveries being the joint-fastest for SRH to set the platform for their chase. Abhishek Sharma, at the other end, continued to pound LSG bowlers, setting the tone for what would be a memorable run chase. Head and Abhishek formed a formidable partnership that left LSG bowlers in lurch. Both batters dominated the proceedings with their batting pyrotechnics, notching up 107 in the powerplay itself.

Earlier, deciding to bat, LSG posted 165 on the back of determined knocks from Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni, cracking (48*) and (55*) respectively. Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis couldn’t show their batting skills, losing their wickets for (2) and (3) respectively. KL Rahul and Krunal Pandya propped up the side with their scores of (29) and (24) respectively.
