Mitchell Marsh drops update on Starc’s injury

Whenever there is a global tournament players remain very careful in keeping themselves away from injuries because if sustained it could put their involvement in the team under a cloud. But injuries are part of the game and remaining away and not falling victim to them is the responsibility of the players.
As soon as the T20I World Cup 2024 got underway from June 1, reports of injuries have started to surface, with Australia’s leading bowler Mitchell Starc giving the team an injury scare. Mitchell Starc was hobbling during Australia's match against Oman on Thursday. After starting the 15th over with a wide, Starc was in great pain and decided to walk off the field. Australia, meanwhile went on to win the game by 39 runs, with Marcus Stoinis playing a key role with both bat and ball. Even Starc claimed two wickets. After the match, Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh provided an update on Starc's injury.
"Starcy, it was just a cramp so didn't want to take a chance. When Starcy says I am okay to go off you let him go off," Marsh said after the game.
"Close game. Good to get the win. It's not going to be the 200 types in this tournament. We are kind of going to the old T20 style here in this tournament," said Marsh.
The battle for Australia against Oman turned out to be a Herculean task after Oman bowlers put on a stunning display of performance, taking out the likes of Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell early on.
