Dasun Shanaka omitted from Sri Lanka’s squad for West Indies T20Is

Former skipper Dasun Shanaka has been left out of Sri Lanka’s T20I squad for the three-match series against West Indies, beginning on October 13. Allrounder Chamindu Wickramasinghe retains his place after making his debut against India. Experienced batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa has made his return to the side as well. 

Rajapaksa last played for Sri Lanka last year in January. And, he was recently seen for St Lucia Kings at CPL. Spinner Jeffrey Vandersay and batter Dinesh Chandimal also keep their places in the team. All three T20Is will be played at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. 

Sri Lanka squad: Charith Asalanka (capt), Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dunith Wellalage, Jeffrey Vandersay, Chamidu Wickramasinghe, Nuwan Thushara, Matheesha Pathirana, Binura Fernando and Asitha Fernando
