SA vs IND 1st T20I: Samson, spinners guide India to dominant win

Delivering a dominant performance in the first T20I against South Africa, India secured a comprehensive 61-run victory to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series on Friday at Kingsmead. The men in blue put on a show with both bat and ball, with key contributions from their spinners and Sanju Samson. Samson became the first Indian batter to plunder the fastest T20I hundred against South Africa.
Sanju Samson was in stellar form with the bat, firing 107 off 50, involving ten sixes and seven fours. He played a controlled yet aggressive knock, guiding India to a massive 202/8 in 20 overs.
With a formidable total in hand, Indian spinners stepped up to the challenge. South Africa chasing a target that seemed out of reach from the start, found themselves stifled by some crafty spin bowling. Spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakaravarthy took three wickets each to build immense pressure on South Africa.
They exploited the conditions to the fullest, making it difficult for South Africa to get any momentum in the chase. Indian bowlers made it nearly impossible for the South African batsmen to accelerate and eventually bowled them out for 141 in 17.5 overs.
