Pakistan fast bowler Ihsanullah has made a surprising U-turn on his earlier decision to retire from franchise cricket. Hours after announcing his decision, Ihsanullah reversed it, saying it all happened in an emotional state of mind.

The 22-year-old, who had announced his intentions to call time on his franchise career after going unsold in draft for the tenth edition of the tournament, has now decided to reverse his decision.

"I take my decision back. No franchise picked me, and the comments of a lot of people sent me over the edge. I'm going to work hard. There are four months before the PSL. The people who didn't select me are the same ones who will select me in the future. I have no plans to retire," Ihsanullah said while speaking to TV channel Geo Super.

Ihsanullah entered the limelight with his swashbuckling performance during the PSL 8, claiming 22 wickets for Multan Sultans at an economy rate of 7.59. Following his brilliants efforts, he bolted into Pakistan’s squad for T20I World Cup. He made his international debut against Afghanistan in March 2023.
